Dietmar Paier is the Head of the Teaching & Learning Center at the University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna (UAS-BFI). He also leads the internal “Working Group on AI in teaching, learning, and research.” As a university didactics expert and lecturer, his focus areas include teaching innovation, further training for university educators, development of study programs, and Learning Analytics.

Dietmar is the leader of several prominent projects, including:

• VIWO Project: Evaluating, piloting, and implementing virtual worlds in higher education, funded by the City of Vienna.
• ISTELA Project: Improving study and teaching experiences through Learning Analytics, collaborating with universities in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and experts in the USA.

In addition, he is involved in Erasmus+ projects such as PETRA and TRIGGER. He is a certified Academic Coach, Organizational Consultant (systemic consulting), and Certified Quality Assessor (EFQM). Dietmar also serves as an expert in assessing university study programs.

Role in Projects: Dietmar is the academic team leader and the lead of WP3.
